Center Valley, PA (April 6, 2024) - The DeSales University men's tennis team opened up MAC Freedom play with a hard fought 5-4 win over King's College on Saturday afternoon.
Doubles
The Bulldogs got off to a quick start winning all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead. SeniorÂ
Philip Ritchie paired with first-yearÂ
Jatin Prabhakar to win 8-3 in the No. 1 spot. SeniorÂ
Augie Citrone joined sophomoreÂ
Reece Stein to win 8-7 in the second flight and first-yearÂ
Christopher Gomez joined sophomoreÂ
Nicholas Ofak to win 8-4 in the third spot.
Singles
King's rallied in singles winning four of six matches but the Bulldogs took home the win with wins by Ritchie in the first flight, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 and Prabhakar in the third flight, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
DSU is back in action on Tuesday traveling to FDU-Florham for a MAC Freedom match beginning at 3:30 pm.
