Dallas, PA (May 4, 2024) - The DeSales University baseball team saw its season come to an end falling to Misericordia University in game two of the MAC Freedom semifinal playoff series, 8-3, on Saturday morning.
The Bulldogs finish the season with an 18-23 overall record.
DSU took a 1-0 lead in this one after a sacrifice fly from sophomoreÂ
JT Anderosky in the second inning. After the Cougars tied the game in the third, DSU reclaimed the lead in the fifth after an RBI single from first-yearÂ
Matt Worek.
Misericordia scored twice in the sixth to take a 3-2 lead but the Bulldogs tied it in the top of the seventh on a sacrifice fly from seniorÂ
Travis Kerr.
MU took control from there scoring three unearned runs in the bottom of the seventh and added two more in the eighth to finish off the win.

Ashton Johnson took the loss despite pitching well allowing just three earned runs over 7 1/3 innings, striking out three.
Kerr finished 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and fellow seniorÂ
Gavin Zavorski and sophomore
John Rorick each had two hits.
