Lococo and Reppert Inducted into MAC Hall of Fame

Annville, PA (June 4, 2024) - Former DeSales University standouts, Jen (Lococo) Connolly and Matt Reppert, were honored on Tuesday morning being named to the MAC Hall of Fame as announced by the conference on its web site.

Lococo and Reppert become the 14th and 15th DeSales standouts to enter into the MAC Hall of Fame. They join Teri (Antolick) Richter (women's basketball), Mike Vidumsky (men's cross country/track & field), LeighAnn (Burke) McGovern (women's basketball), Brett Vargo (baseball), Alyssa (Antolick) Holdorff (women's basketball), Laura (LeVan) Moog (women's tennis), Ian Hauze (baseball), Randy Sturm (men's soccer), Gina Lucrezi (women's cross country/track & field), Kate Corcoran (women's basketball), Jeneen (Covely) Cramer (women's soccer), Lou Corominas (men's track & field), and Darnell Braswell (men's basketball).

DeSales joined the MAC at the start of the 1997-98 season. To be eligible for inclusion into the MAC Hall of Fame you must have competed in the MAC and also already be inducted into the school's Hall of Fame.

Jen (Lococo) Connolly
Lococo was an all-conference performer for the DeSales softball team from 2008-11 graduating in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in marketing and management.

Lococo is still leading the Bulldogs in many statistical categories including games played (171), hits (199), doubles (45), home runs (20), and RBIs (130). She was also a force pitching as she ranks fourth all-time in school history in ERA (2.85), second in wins (45), third in shutouts (11), and fourth in strikeouts (279).

Lococo led the Bulldogs to a 108-63 record, a MAC Freedom Championship, and an NCAA Tournament appearance.

Individually she was named MAC Freedom Rookie and Pitcher of the Year in 2008, All MAC Freedom First Team twice, and All-MAC Freedom Second Team twice. She also earned NFCA All-Region Second Team honors twice. She capped off her career by winning the LVAIAW Softball Player of the Year and being named the Dr. John Compardo Female Athlete of the Year.

Lococo was inducted into the DeSales University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2022.
 
Matt Reppert
Reppert was one of the most dominant pitchers in DeSales history, playing for the baseball team from 2003-06.
 
Reppert is still leading the Bulldogs in numerous statistical categories including lowest ERA in team history (2.53), all-time wins (27), innings pitched (282 2/3), and complete games (18). He is also second in school history in shutouts (4) and fifth in strikeouts (172).

Winning was common during Reppert's career at DeSales as he held a 116-58 record and won the MAC Freedom Championship three times. He led the Bulldogs to the NCAA Tournament three times, won the 2003 Regional Championship, and was the first and only DeSales team to play in the NCAA Division III College World Series.
 
Matt racked up a bunch of hardware during his career as well. He was named MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year in 2003, earned MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Year three times, earned All-MAC Freedom First-Team honors three times, and was named to the ABCA All-Region Second Team three times.
 
Reppert was inducted into the DeSales Athletics Hall of Fame in 2022.
