Bethlehem, PA (September 11, 2024) - The DeSales University volleyball team fell to local rival Moravian University, 3-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

The Bulldogs fell behind early as Moravian scored the first four points of the opening set and led throughout.  Trailing 21-17, DSU made a late run scoring six of the next eight points to tie the score at 23 forcing a Greyhound timeout.  Moravian responded with two straight points out of the timeout to close out the first set win.

The second set was tight tied at 12 before Moravian dominated scoring 13 of the next 14 points to win 25-13.  The Greyhounds were out early again in the third set leading 19-11 before DeSales rallied getting within two points (24-22) before a service error closed out the match for the Greyhounds.

First-years Brooke Signorella and Allison Reimer along with junior Joy Kindall each had six kills to lead the offense.  First-year Veda Doxzen had 15 assists and 10 digs, first-year Kylie Campbell added 10 digs, and Reimer finished with a team-high 12 digs in the loss.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Friday when they take on Neumann University in day one of the Knight's Classic on Friday and Saturday.
