Ewing, NJ (September 21, 2024) - Junior Liam MacDonald scored on a sliding header in the 63rd minute giving the DeSales University men's soccer team a thrilling 1-0 win over The College of New Jersey for its fifth straight win on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened

• In the 63rd minute, sophomore Lucas Heberling took a free kick for the Bulldogs from 30 yards out that MacDonald found and connected with a sliding header to give DSU the 1-0 lead.
• The Bulldogs defense was in lockdown mode once again as they shutout the Lions for the remaining 25+ minutes and finished off the 1-0 win.

• MacDonald scored his team leading seventh goal of the season. 
• First-year student Jimmy Shensky made two saves in goal and recorded his fourth shutout win for the Bulldogs on the season.
