Volleyball Clinches Postseason Spot After 3-2 Win at Lebanon Valley

Annville, PA (October 22, 2025) - The DeSales University volleyball team won a hard-fought five-set match, 3-2, at Lebanon Valley College clinching a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament on Wednesday evening.

The Bulldogs clinch a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament for the 21st time and the second straight year.

DeSales dominated the opening set, winning 25-11, and hitting .269 to start the match. LVC rebounded, hitting .312 in the second set to tie the match at one, 25-21. 

DSU started quickly in the third set leading 8-3 before LVC rallied to the score at 11. Leading 13-12, the Bulldogs scored four straight points on four straight Flying Dutchmen attack errors to lead 17-12 and held on late to take a 2-1 lead, 25-22.

Lebanon Valley had another strong fourth set hitting .367 to tie the score, 25-17, scoring the last seven points of the fourth set.

In the fifth set the score went back-and-forth until DeSales scored five straight points with the score tied at eight to take a 13-8 lead on two kills from sophomore Allison Reimer, a kill from first-year Haylee Arnold, and two service aces from sophomore Ashlyn Dinan to close out the match 15-9.

Reimer led the Bulldogs with 17 kills, hitting .361 and added nine digs and four aces. Sophomore Brooke Signorella had 10 kills and Arnold added eight kills.

Sophomore Kylie Campbell had 17 digs and seven assists and Dinan (19 assists) and sophomore Veda Doxzen (14 assists) combined for 33 helpers.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday when they host Hood College and Hunter College in a tri-match beginning at 11:00 am.
