Center Valley, PA (October 28, 2025) - The DeSales University volleyball team saw its five-match win streak come to an end in a tough 3-1 loss to Misericordia University in MAC Freedom action on Tuesday evening.
The Bulldogs fall into a tie for third place in the MAC Freedom with the loss with Lebanon Valley College, but can clinch the #3 seed in the postseason tournament with a win next week over FDU-Florham.
The Cougars came out on fire in the first two sets hitting .500 and .438 in the first two sets to take a 2-0 lead with identical 25-18 wins.
DeSales rallied taking a 7-1 lead in the third set. DSU continued to lead 16-11. The Cougars scored six straight points to take a 17-16 lead and the score was eventually tied at 19 when the Bulldogs scored three straight to take a 22-19 lead. MU countered with three straight to tie the scored at 22, but kills from sophomoreÂ
Allison Reimer and juniorÂ
Jocelyn Castro made it 24-23 and Reimer finished it off with another kill two points later to give DSU a 25-23 win.
The fourth set saw MU take an 8-2 lead but DSU battled back to tie the set at 13. MU took a 17-13 and DeSales refused to go away getting within one (19-18). Trailing 24-21, the Bulldogs scored three straight points to tie the score at 24 but MU got two straight points to finish off the match, 26-24.

Brooke Signorella each had 10 kills to lead the Bulldogs. First-yearÂ
Haylee Arnold added eight kills and sophomoreÂ
Maddie Sandt had six kills.

DSU is back in action on Thursday hosting Albright College in a non-conference match beginning at 7:00 pm.
