Dallas, PA (November 5, 2025) - The DeSales University field hockey saw its season come to an end in heartbreaking fashion falling at Misericordia University, 1-0, in the MAC Freedom semfinals on Wednesday evening.

• DSU suffers its second straight loss to the Cougars falling to 9-12 all-time vs. Misericordia.
• The Bulldogs were making their 10th appearance in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament.

How it Happened

• This game was a defensive battle the entire way as neither team took a shot in the entire first quarter as both defenses were stifling.
• DSU controlled play in the second quarter out-shooting MU, 6-2 and taking all four penalty corners in the quarter.
• The Bulldogs continued to tilt the field their way in the third quarter out-shooting the Cougars, 3-1 and taking two of the three penalty corners as neither team was able to put a goal on the board.
• The game remained scoreless as the clock ticked to under a minute to go when Misericordia broke thru scoring with 41 seconds left and DeSales was unable to counter over the final 40 seconds.
