Riley Buzby had a season-high 23 points leading the DeSales University men's basketball team past Gwynedd-Mercy University, 92-79, in the consolation game of the Al Senavitis Holiday Tournament on Monday evening.

How it Happened
- Gwynedd-Mercy got off to a quick start in this one taking a 9-3 lead over the first three minutes of the game.
- Buzby entered the game and immediately made an impact scoring 11 points, including 3 3's, as part of a 13-4 run giving DSU a 16-13 lead.
- Sophomore Luke Keppel hit a three with the game tied at 16 and the Bulldogs maintained a lead the rest of the half, in front by as many as eight points, and by six (45-39) at the break.
- The Griffins got within a point (54-53) five minutes into the second-half and trailed by two with 13:27 left before a 7-0 Bulldog run gave DSU a 68-59 lead with 12:04 remaining.
- GMU refused to go away pulling within two points twice more and trailed by three with 5:34 to go but the Bulldogs had the answer scoring seven straight points including a three from senior Chris Edwards, to lead 86-76, and cruised the rest of the way.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Thomas stuffed the stat sheet finishing with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists, adding three steals, to record just the second ever triple-double in DeSales history.
- The first and only other was recorded by Tony Medina in the 90's.
- Buzby came off the bench to toss in five three-pointers en route to his 23 points, after entering the game with just 25 points on the season.
- Keppel also reached double digits with 16 points, hitting four three-pointers.
- Senior Ryan Glassmacher had eight points and seven rebounds and sophomore Emanuel Domingo totaled nine points and seven boards.
For the Foes
- Mazen Sayed had 18 points to lead the Griffins.
- Jalen Snead totaled 12 points, while DJ Johnson and Bruce Smith each tallied 11 points.
Inside the Box Score
- DeSales shot 51.9 percent from the field for the game and held GMU to just 38.5 percent from the floor.
- DSU was 27-for-35 (77.1 percent) from the charity stripe and 11-for-26 (42.3 percent) from outside the arc.
- The Bulldogs controlled the glass, outrebounding GMU, 42-29.
