Weston Simak were each honored as the MAC Players of the Week for men's basketball and men's indoor track & field as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.
Thomas garnered MAC Player of the Week honors for the second straight week continuing his strong play averaging 25.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, shooting 58.1% from the field across two games. He posted 25 points and 14 rebounds at Lancaster Bible before recording 26 points and five boards in a home win over Widener. The sophomore now has four 25+ point games this season.\
Simak had a strong start to the Indoor season posting MAC qualifying marks in both the long jump and the triple jump. He placed third in the long jump with a mark of 6.52m and was first in the triple jump with a mark of 13.72m. His TJ was the second best mark in team history.
