Doylestown, PA (February 22, 2025) - The DeSales University men's basketball fell just short in its quest to earn a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament falling 75-72 at Delaware Valley University in the regular season finale on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
- Tied at nine early, the Aggies used a 7-0 run to take a 16-9 lead.
- The Bulldogs countered with a 13-4 run to claim a 22-20 on junior Brendan Boyle's second three of the spurt.
- Delaware Valley had an 8-0 spurt later in the half that gave the hosts a 35-27 lead before DSU cut the margin down to four points (37-33) at the half.
- The Aggies led the entire way in the second-half and by as many as 12 points before six quick points pulled DeSales to within 51-45 at the 12:09 mark.
- Down 66-55 with 3:53 to go, the Bulldogs made one last rally, cutting the lead down to four after four points from senior Caleb Gibbs and a three from first-year Luke Keppel with 2:53 to go.
- Senior Devin Atkinson answered a bucket by DVU with a three on the other end pulling DSU within a bucket (68-65) with 2:11 left.
- After two Aggies free throws each team had empty possessions before Keppel hit a pull-up three to make it a two-point game (70-68) with 36 ticks remaining.
- Delaware Valley made just 1-of-2 freebies and Boyle was fouled on the other end, calmly knocking down both free throws to make it a one-point game (71-70) with 18 seconds on the clock.
- After Del. Val. knocked down two free throws, the Aggies fouled DSU before they could get a shot off and Keppel hit both of his free throws to again make it a one-point game (73-72) with 4.9 seconds left.
- The Aggies hit two more free throws with three seconds left and last second half court heave was well off the mark as time expired.

- Boyle and Keppel each led the Bulldogs with 18 points hitting four 3's each.
- First-year Jayden Thomas had 11 points and three assists.
- Atkinson finished with nine points, 11 rebounds, and six assists.
- Gibbs totaled a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
