Hoboken, NJ (March 1, 2025) - The DeSales University women's basketball team saw its season and postseason winning streak come to an end in the MAC Freedom Championship game at Stevens, 54-47, on Saturday afternoon in Hoboken, NJ.

How it Happened
- Stevens jumped out to an early 7-4 lead before the Bulldogs got things going and ended the quarter on an 13-4 run that was led by senior Morgan Sterner who had five points as DSU led 17-13 after the first quarter.Â
- Ducks dominated the second quarter outscoring DeSales 17-5, rallying back and taking the lead as the Bulldogs faced a 30-22 deficit at the halftime break.Â
- DSU trailed by as much as 13 about midway through the third quarter before junior Mikaili Donmoyer scored five straight points to cut the deficit down to eight points (37-28) with four minutes left in the third quarter.Â
- Stevens had an answer to Donmoyer's quick run with five points of their own as they held a 43-33 lead heading into the final quarter of play.
- Sterner scored five straight points out of the break and ignited a 9-2 run for the Bulldogs to cut the Ducks lead down to three (45-42) with 4:52 left to play.Â
- The Ducks responded with a quick 5-0 run of their own to push the lead back up to eight before Donmoyer responded with a three pointer to drop it to a five point deficit (50-45) with 3:23 to go.Â
- DSU struggled offensively in the final three minutes and were not able to put together one final run as the Ducks held onto the 54-47 win.Â
