Neiman Ends Career with 14-10 Win over Scranton

Center Valley, PA (April 30, 2025) - Head coach Tim Neiman ended his career with a win guiding the DeSales University baseball team past The University of Scranton, 14-10, at Weiland Park in the final game of Neiman's 36-year career on Wednesday evening.

Neiman ends his career with an 868-528-5 career record having coached in 1,401 career games. The Bulldogs finish the year with a 21-18 overall record. It is the 30th 20+ win season in his career and his 34th winning season in 36 years. He is currently ranked ninth among all active NCAA Division III coaches and 37th all-time in wins.

Neiman will finish his career with 10 conference championships, nine NCAA Tournament appearances, and one trip to the NCAA Division III College World Series back in 2003.

DeSales used two big innings on Wednesday to send Neiman home a winner.

The Bulldogs scored six times in the first inning on a two-RBI single from senior Colin Houck, RBI single from junior JT Anderosky, and RBI groundout from first-year Jacob Rivera.

After Moravian tied the game at six in the third inning, DeSales crossed home plate seven times in the fourth to take a 13-6 lead and never looked back from there.

Anderosky had a bases clearing double, senior Owen Fischl an RBI single, Rivera an RBI single, and senior Justin DeStaso a two-RBI double in the seventh.

Junior Anthony Schieble earned the win pitching 1 2/3 scoreless, striking out one.

Junior Bobby Dingell had two hits and scored twice and Fischl finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored, two RBIs, and one walk, tying the single-season record with his 38th walk of the season. Houck scored twice and had two RBIs, Anderosky finshed 2-for-5 with two runs scored and four RBIs, and Rivera had two runs scored and two RBIs.

DeStaso knocked in two runs and graduate students Travis Kerr and Gavin Zavorski each had one hit in their last games.
