Five Bulldogs Named CSC Academic All-District for Women's T&F/XC

Center Valley, PA (June 24, 2025) - Seniors Haley Estus, Emma Mele, and Rita Salzmann along with sophomores Catherine Crampton and Sophia Manidis of the women's track & field and cross country teams were all named to the CSC Women's T&F/CC Academic All-District Team as announced on Tuesday afternoon by the College Sports Communicators.

To be eligible for this honor you must be a sophomore or higher, have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater, and be ranked in the Top 50 in the region in a single individual event in either cross country or track & field. Each institution is allowed a maximum of five nominations for the team.  The highest qualified candidates based on GPA and region ranking will have their nominations forwarded to the All-America ballot to be considered for Academic All-America honors announced in late-June.

Estus appears on the Academic All-District Team for the first time in her career, majoring in homeland security. She placed 10th at the MAC CC Championships to earn All-MAC First-Team honors and earned All-Region honors with a 21st place finish at the Metro Region CC Championships this past season. 

Mele is also making her third straight appearance on the Academic All-District Team as a medical studies major. She had an great track & field season ranking seventh in the region in the pole vault during indoor T&F and 13th in the pole vault in the region during outdoor T&F.

Salzmann makes her second straight appearance on the Academic All-District Team as a health sciences major. She ranked 34th in the region this season in outdoor T&F in the discus.

Crampton makes her first appearance on the Academic All-District Team as a chemistry major. Regionally she ranked 13th this season in triple jump and 29th in long jump in outdoor T&F. During the indoor season, Crampton ranked 14th in triple jump and 18th in long jump. 

Manidis also appears on the Academic All-District team for the first time in her career, double majoring in theology and english. She ranked 25th in the region in the hammer throw this season.
