Patrick Kerrigan, senior
Anthony Gash, along with the DeSales University men's lacrosse team were honored this morning being named USILA Scholar All-Americans as announced by the organization on its web site.
A Scholar All-American must be a senior year academic standing and a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale). He will have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field. He must also be an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player. All teams that earn a 3.0 team GPA for the academic year are honored with a team academic award.
Kerrigan and Gash become the fifth and sixth DeSales men's lacrosse players to earn USILA Scholar All-American honors joining
Brennan Gmeiner (2013),
Frank Krug (2020),
Vince Maria (2021), and
Dominic Maria (2023).
Kerrigan earned All-MAC Freedom Honorable-Mention honors this season as he started all 19 games on the defensive side of the ball totaling 10 caused turnovers, 35 ground balls, and one assist on the offensive end.
Gash earned All-MAC Freedom Second-Team honors after leading the team and ranked second in the MAC Freedom in Faceoff Win percentage (.616). He won 237 face-offs, third most won in a season, and recorded the third most ground balls in a season with 154. Gash also tallied five goals and five assists for 10 points.
