Selinsgrove, PA (September 12, 2025) - The DeSales University women's soccer team scored twice in the second-half to earn its first win of the 2025 season, 2-1 over Susquehanna University on Friday evening.

The Basics

• Final Score: DeSales - 2, Susquehanna- 1
• Records: DeSales (1-3-1 overall); Susquehanna (2-4 overall)
• This is DSU's first win over the Reiver Hawks in four career meetings moving DeSales record to 1-2-1 in the all-time series. 

How it Happened

• After a scoreless first-half, DSU struck first scoring 7:08 into the second-half when junior Kayla Kinniry scored on an assist from senior Sammy Fanger.
• The Bulldogs got an insurance goal just 5:38 later when junior Avery Lane scored for the first time this season off an assist from first-year Caitlyn Wnek.
• Susquehanna scored in the 81st minute but the Bulldogs blanked SU the rest of the way.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Kinniry and Lane each scored their first goals of the year in the win.
• Sophomore Campbell Pacheco had six saves in between the pipes in the win.

For the Foes

• Ava Billmeyer had SU's lone goal.
• Katie Henchy had saves in goal.

• Susquehanna had a 16-11 advantage in shots and a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
