CENTER VALLEY Pa. (Sept. 20, 2025) -- The DeSales University men's soccer team finished with a 1-1 draw against The College of New Jersey in a non-conference matchup Sunday afternoon.  

The Basics  

• Score: DeSales –1, TCNJ – 1 

• Season Records: DeSales 3-3-1, TCNJ 4-1-2 

How it Happened 

• Both teams came out very strong on both sides of the ball, keeping it tied 0-0 the entire first half.  

• First-year Joseph Kennedy sent a pass over to Liam MacDonald who was able to sneak the ball into the corner of the net for the first goal of the game.   

• DeSales continued to play excellent defense for the rest of the game, and the second goal was scored by TCNJ off a penalty kick in the 80th minute.  

• Possessions went back and forth for the rest of the game, but neither team was able to sneak in another goal, ending the game in a tie.  

Top Bulldog Performers 

• MacDonald's goal was his sixth in three games since returning from injury. 
• Kennedy recorded his first career point in the win.
• Sophomore Peter Cardinale, first year Nik Rohm and senior Joseph Reteneller all showed up on the defensive end of the ball, playing a full 90 minutes. 
• Jimmy Shensky, sophomore, goal keeper had two saves on the game.  
•  Midfielders Larry Sullivan and Jake Moyer had a strong presence for DeSales as well, ending with 90 minute games.  

For the Foes  

• Junior, Chris Meder scored the goal off of a penalty kick for TCNJ.  

Up Next  

• The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday when they will be traveling to Madison, NJ to face Drew University at 7:00pm.
