How it Happened
- Mulroony needed just 2:58 to get DSU on the board as she took control of a pass off the head of an Arcadia defender in the midfield creating a 1-v-1 with the keeper who she beat low and to the left for a 1-0 DeSales lead.
- That score stood into the half as the Bulldogs defense staved off five Knight shots on goal.
- Mulroony got the insurance tally in the 62nd minute when senior Catherine Crampton cleared a ball to midfield where first-year Caradyn McGinley touched a pass to a streaking Mulroony who again got behind the defense and this time beat the keeper up high and just under the crossbar for a 2-0 lead.
- The defense did the rest limiting AU to just one shot in the second-half to preserve the shutout win.
