Glenside, PA (February 11, 2026) - The DeSales University women's basketball team dropped a defensive battle at Arcadia University, 34-30, in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday evening.
The Basics

How it Happened
- Tied at six early, Arcadia scored the final four points of the first quarter and the first bucket of the second quarter to take a 12-6 lead.
- The Bulldog defense took over from there, holding AU scoreless over the next nine minutes, using a 12-0 run that saw DSU lead 20-14 at the halftime break.
- The lead remained six three minutes into the second-half before DSU went cold as the Knights scored eight straight points to take a 24-22 lead and led by two (26-24) after three quarters of play.
- Arcadia scored the first three points of the fourth quarter to take a five point lead and the Bulldogs remained scoreless over the first five minutes of the quarter.
- DSU got within two on a three from sophomore Kayla Ishigami with 4:27 left to play but was unable to get any closer over the next three mintues when AU got a second chance bucket with 1:44 left to make it a four point game.
- DeSales got within three with 32 ticks left but the Knights iced the win from the line with two freebies with 16 seconds left.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Ishigami was DSU's lone double digit scorer with 10 points off the bench.
- Senior Sammi White had eight points and eight rebounds.
For the Foes
- Anastasia Bowman finished with 15 points.
- Delaney Bell had seven points and 13 boards.
Inside the Box Score
- DeSales shot just 20 percent for the game as compared to 32.7 percent for the Knights.
- DSU benefitted from 23 Knight turnovers, scoring 20 points.
- The Bulldogs had 18 more shots than Arcadia in the loss.
