Men's Lacrosse Falls at Farmingdale State, 18-15

Farmingdale, NY (February 14, 2026) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team fell behind early but fought back to get within one goal in the third quarter before dropping an 18-15 decision at Farmingdale State on Saturday afternoon.

The Basics
  • Final Score: Farmingdale State - 18, DeSales - 15
  • Records: DeSales (0-2 overall); Farmingdale State (1-0 overall)
  • This was the second career meeting between the two teams as each team has now won once in the series.
How it Happened
  • The Bulldogs fell behind 3-0 early and trailed 5-2 after one quarter of play.
  • After Farmingdale scored first in the second quarter, the Bulldogs scored three of the next four goals to get within two (7-5) and the host scored two of the last three to claim a three goal lead (9-6) at the half.
  • Down four (11-7), the Bulldogs scored four of the next five goals to get within one (12-11) with 3:24 left in the third quarter.
  • FSC answered with two straight to end the quarter to reclaim its three goal lead.
  • DSU got back within two to start the fourth quarter but Farmingdale scored the next four goals to lead 18-12 with 6:38 left and never looked back from there.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • Sophomore Connor Bourdon led the scoring with five goals.
  • Sophomore TJ Kearns had two goals and an assist and sophomore Jason Reilly and first-year Colin Getz each had two goals.
  • Senior Mark Winkler Jr. added four assists.
  • Sophomore Patch Day was 12-for-23 on the faceoff with seven ground balls.
  • First-year Andrew Krieg had a goal, an assist, and two caused turnovers.
  • Junior AJ Ardizone had seven saves in between the pipes.
For the Foes
  • Joey Forchelli had six goals and Ethan Vargas totaled six goals and two assists.
  • Fabrice Cormier won 18-of-29 faceoffs.
Inside the Box Score
  • DeSales out-shot Farmingdale State, 51-37, and had a 28-25 advantage in shots on goal.
  • The Bulldogs had a slim 43-42 advantage in ground balls.
