Women's Lacrosse Drops Stockton, 17-8, In Last Non-Conference Game Of the Season

CENTER VALLEY, PA (March 28, 2026) -- The DeSales University women's lacrosse team dropped their final non-conference game to the Stockton University Ospreys, 17-8, on Saturday afternoon.  

The Basics  

  • Final Score: DeSales – 8, Stockton – 17 

  • Records: DeSales (6-4 overall), Stockton (8-3 overall) 

  • This is the second meeting between both teams, the first competition being in 2023, DeSales has dropped both games.  

How it Happened  

  • The Ospreys went on a nine-goal scoring streak to open the first quarter, first year Olivia Costa was able to cut into their run with two goals, her first was a man-up assisted by Marissa Kozak and her second assisted by Emily Mulroony.  

  • Costa added two more for the Bulldogs, including one free position goal, bringing the score to 15-5 going into the half.  

  • DeSales defense was strong in the third quarter, only allowing one free position goal the entire quarter.  

  • In the fourth, Lawler had back-to-back goals assisted by Hailey Linebaugh and Mulroony. Costa added the last goal for DSU, finishing the game 17-8.  

Top Bulldog Performers  

  • Costa led the team in points finishing with five from five goals, also adding one ground ball, one cause turnover and three draw controls.  

  • First year defender, Arianna Renninger led the team in cause turnovers with two and added one ground ball.  

  • Mulroony ended the afternoon with two assists, for two points and one draw control.  

For the Foes  

  • Aubrey Giordano led her team with five goals, and three free position shots.  

  • Gina Marotta led in draw controls, finishing with seven and one ground ball on the afternoon.  

Inside the Box Score  

  • Stockton took the slim majority on ground balls with ten compared to the Bulldogs nine.  

  • DSU was 14-for-15 on the clear, compared to Stocktons 15-for-17.  

  • DeSales dominated in cause turnovers with eight, to the Ospreys two.  

Up Next  

  • The Bulldogs begin MAC Freedom play on Wednesday when they travel to Annville, PA to take on Lebanon Valley College.
