Women's Lacrosse Falls to #13 Stevens, Heading into MAC Freedom Playoffs

HOBOKEN, NJ (April 25, 2026) -- The DeSales University women's lacrosse team fell to the #13 Stevens Institute of Technology Ducks, 15-4, on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs will stay the number two seed, heading into the MAC Freedom playoffs next week.  

The Basics 

  • Final Score: DeSales – 4, Stevens – 15  

  • Records: DeSales (12-5 overall, 6-1 MAC Freedom), Stevens (13-4 overall, 7-0 MAC Freedom) 

How it Happened  

  • Stevens was the first on the board, scoring two goals in the first three minutes of the game, DeSales responded with a man-up goal from Emma Williamson assisted by Senior Christina DiGuglielmo.  

  • The Ducks added another two to the period, before first-year attack Olivia Costa added another to the board, assisted by Sophia Campola, ending the first 4-2.  

  • DeSales defense stayed strong the entire second, only allowing one goal the entire quarter, ending the first half, 5-2.  

  • Stevens went on a seven-goal scoring streak during the entire third period, finishing the period 12-2.  

  • The Bulldogs began the final quarter strong with an unassisted goal off of a ground ball from senior Danielle Sieja.  

  • The Ducks responded with two of their own, before senior Bridey Lawler added a free-position goal for DSU, ending the game 15-4.  

Top Bulldog Performers  

  • Sieja ended the afternoon with oen goal for one point, she also contributed one ground ball and one cause turnover for the Bulldogs.  

  • Williamson led the defense with three cause turnovers, and four ground balls, she also contributed one goal on the afternoon.  

  • First-year goalkeeper, Larkin Trainor contributed 14 saves for DeSales.  

For the Foes  

  • Alina Friz led the Ducks in points with nine from four goals and five assists, she also added one ground ball, two cause turnovers and one draw control.  

  • Stephanie Sellitto led the team with eight draw controls, four cause turnovers, four ground balls and four goals.  

Inside the Box Score  

  • DeSales took the majority, 14-4 in saves on the afternoon.  

  • The Bulldogs were 16-for-23 on the clear and ended the afternoon with five draw controls.

  • Women's lacrosse takes on the Lebanon Valley College Flying Dutchmen in the MAC Freedom semi-finals on Wednesday afternoon at home.
