Glenside, PA (April 8, 2026) - The DeSales University women's tennis team dethroned Arcadia University, 4-3, in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday afternoon.
DSU took home the doubles point as first-years
Kate Gomez and
Haley Maloney won 6-1 in the #2 spot and sophomore
Caroline Prince and senior
Tara Clark won 6-0 in the third flight.
First-year
Julia Wiest won 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 in the second flight and Prince won 6-1, 6-2 in the #5 singles spot as the match was tied 3-3 after the Knights won in the #1, #3, and #6 spots.
Tied at one set each in the fourth flight, Maloney rallied from down 5-2 to tie the third set at 5 and eventually won by retirement to give DSU the 4-3 win.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday when they travel to FDU-Florham for another MAC Freedom match.
