Four Bulldogs Score in 4-1 Win over Moravian

Bethlehem, PA (September 23, 2026) - Four different Bulldogs scored leading the DeSales University field hockey team to a 4-1 win over local rival Moravian University in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

The Basics
  • Final Score: DeSales - 4, Moravian - 1
  • Records: DeSales – 3-3, Moravian – 3-4
  • This was DSU's 10th straight win over its local rival to improve to 14-8 all-time vs. the Greyhounds.
How it Happened
  • DSU got on the board first scoring just 1:42 into the game when junior Abigail Antipas scored unassisted.
  • That lead was doubles just three minutes later when junior Mia Carder scored off a pass from senior Alina Culver later in the first quarter.
  • Junior Stephanie Pallante tipped home a loose ball in front of the Greyhounds' keeper in the second quarter to make it 3-0.
  • Moravian got on the board with just over a minute left in the first-half to make it a 3-1 game at the break.
  • First-year Shelby Haldeman finished off the scoring with a rocket into the corner of the cage with 7:23 left in the game to post the final tally.

  • Antipas goal was her team leading fifth of the year, while Pallante, Carder, and Haldeman each scored their second of the year.
For the Foes
  • Ta'Nya Cutler scored for Moravian.
