Swarthmore, PA (September 25, 2026) - The DeSales University volleyball team continued its unbeaten season sweeping Widener University, 3-0, in the opening game of the Swarthmore College weekend tournament on Friday evening.
The 11 straight wins to start the year mark the second longest win streak at the start of a season, just one shy of the 1992 season when the Bulldogs opened the year 12-0. DSU was rewarded this week receiving votes in the AVCA poll released this week, the first time in head coachÂ
Michele Zabinski's coaching tenure the Bulldogs earned national poll recognition.
DSU swept the match on Friday winning 25-13, 25-17, 25-21. The Bulldogs hit .273 as a team and 76 total digs.
DeSales had another balanced attack led by juniorÂ
Allison Reimer with 11 kills and 11 digs. SeniorÂ
Mackenzie Fox had nine kills, sophomoreÂ
Alexis Hoyer had seven kills, and seniorÂ
Jocelyn Castro, sophomoreÂ
Haylee Arnold, and sophomoreÂ
Samantha Buff all had six kills.

Kylie Campbell led the defense with 18 digs and seniorÂ
Grace Pfaff added 16 digs.
The Bulldogs are right back to action tomorrow taking on Swarthmore College and Salisbury University on day two of the tournament.
