Center Valley, PA (September 5, 2026) - The DeSales University volleyball team swept two more matches on Saturday with 3-0 wins over Immaculata University and Rutgers-Camden to be the only undefeated team at its home tournament this weekend.
DSU starts the season with a perfect 4-0 record for the first time since the 2016 season when the Bulldogs opened the season with five straight wins.
Match #1
DeSales started slow in this one trailing the Mighty Macs 16-11 in the first set before rallying to win the opening set, 25-22. DSU cruised from there winning sets two and three by scores of 25-10 and 25-19.
JuniorÂ
Brooke Signorella and sophomoreÂ
Alexis Hoyer each had eight kills to lead the attack with Signorella hitting .389 and Hoyer .533. JuniorÂ
Allison Reimer added six kills and hit .400, while also contributing three aces and eight digs.
SeniorÂ
Jocelyn Castro had six blocks and four kills and juniorÂ
Kylie Campbell finished with a team-high 16 digs. JuniorÂ
Grace Pfaff added nine digs and the combination of seniorÂ
Bryanna Purisima (10) and juniorÂ
Ashlyn Dinan (17) had 27 assists.
Match #2
DSU led 16-9 in the first set of this one before the Scarlet Raptors rallied to take a 22-19 lead. The Bulldogs ripped off five straight points to lead 24-22 and got a kill from sophomoreÂ
Haylee Arnold to win the first set 25-23. The Bulldogs cruised after that winning sets two and three by scores of 25-19 and 25-16.
Reimer led the attack in this one with 12 kills and a .476 hitting percentage, adding eight digs. Arnold added eight kills and Hoyer had seven. SophomoreÂ
Samantha Buff and Castro combined for nine kills and six blocks in the middle.
Campbell had 16 digs and Dinan (17) and Purisima (16) combined for 33 assists and 13 digs.
DSU is back in action on Friday when they travel to the Neumann University Tournament for a match with Ursinus College.
