Biography

Entering the ’11 Season: Enters senior season ranked among the all-time leaders in several statistical categories including eighth in games played (130), sixth in at-bats (405), tied for sixth in runs scored (92), tied for eighth in hits (131), 12th in doubles (23), tied for sixth in triples (10), second in home runs (17), fifth in RBI’s (84), and third in assists (292).

2010 Season: Started and played in all 49 games…batted .335 with 34 runs scored, seven home runs, and 31 RBIs…struck out just eight times in 181 plate appearances…was 6-for-6 in stolen base attempts…set a single-season record with 119 assists and had a .958 fielding percentage as the starting shortstop…recorded 15 multi-hit games including one four-hit game in a win over Manhattanville College…went 3-for-6 with four runs scored and two home runs in the two wins over Bethany College in the ECAC South Region Tournament…had a 10-game hitting streak near the end of the season in which she had two or more hits in eight of those games…had six RBIs in a win over FDU-Florham late in the year…named Freedom Conference Hitter of the Week once and to the All-Freedom Conference Second Team.

2009 Season: Started and appeared in 38 games…batted .294 with 35 hits and 30 runs scored…added seven doubles, five triples, two home runs, and 24 RBI’s…had a .487 slugging percentage and a .904 fielding percentage with 13 errors in 136 chances at shortstop…had seven multi-hit games…went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBI’s in a win over Rose-Hulman Institute…was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and five RBI’s in a win over Manhattanville College…had three hits and six runs scored in the four Freedom Conference playoff games…named to All-Freedom Conference Second-Team.

2008 Season: Appeared in all 43 games, making 43 starts…batted .336 with 42 hits, 28 runs scored, and 29 RBI’s…set a school-record (along with Kelly Moran) with eight home runs on the season…also tied for the team lead with 10 doubles and led the team with four triples…was a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts and was excellent on defense sporting a school-record 106 assists with just eight errors for a .956 field percentage at shortstop…named the Freedom Conference Playoffs Most Valuable Player with two home runs in the Freedom Conference championship game win over Delaware Valley College…had 12 multi-hit games and went 4-for-4 with six RBI’s and three runs scored in the win over Lebanon Valley College at the NCAA Tournament…had three RBI’s in wins over Manhattanville College and Albright College during the season.

Personal & High School: Daughter of Manfred and Vicki Steiner…born May 11, 1989...participated in tennis and softball in high school...earned the “Black Bat” award as a sophomore...won LVC individual tennis titles twice and took second place twice...also placed second in districts once in doubles and third in districts twice in singles...communications major.
