Biography

Entering the ’10 Season: Walsh enters his senior season ranked 14th all-time in ERA (3.86), first all-time in saves (15), third all-time in total appearances (63), and third all-time in relief appearances (63).

2009 Season: Led the team with 22 appearances on the mound, all in relief…compiled a 4-1 record with a team-low 2.35 ERA and a team-high six saves…struck out 28 batters in 23 innings pitched and walked just 12 batters…opponents batted just .234 off him…recorded first save of the season with the final two outs, both on strikeouts in the win over Trinity (TX)…broke the all-time record for saves in the win over The University of Scranton…named to All-Freedom Conference First-Team as a relief pitcher.

2008 Season: Led the team with 25 appearances, all in relief…went 2-1 with a 4.19 ERA and nine saves…totaled 34.1 innings pitched, striking out 31…opponents batted just .227 on the year…earned his ninth save of the season in the win over Manhattanville College in the Freedom Conference playoffs…earned first win of the year with 3.1 innings of no-hit relief in the win over Schreiner University during spring break trip…earned second win with 1.2 innings of no-hit relief striking out three in the win over Wilkes that clinched a Freedom Conference playoff berth…named to All-Freedom Conference First-Team and named Freedom Conference Pitcher of the Week once.

2007 Season: Appeared in 16 games in relief posting a 3-0 record with a 4.81 ERA...totaled 24.1 innings pitched, striking out 16 and walking 13...earned first career win with 2.1 innings of shutout relief in win over Misericordia...pitched 3.2 innings of scoreless relief to earn victory in win over Montclair St.

Personal & High School: Son of Marty Walsh…born July 24, 1988...participated in baseball and football in HS...named All-Skyland Conference and team won state sectional championship twice...double major in accounting and finance.
