Entering the ’12 Season:  Hughes enters his senior season ranked tied for 13th in wins (11), seventh in total appearances (55), seventh in relief appearances (43), tied for ninth in shutouts (1), 19th in innings pitched (121.2), and 10th in strikeouts (126).

2011 Season:  Made 23 appearances and two starts on the mound…posted a 5-3 record with a 3.51 ERA and one save in 41 innings pitched…struck out 47 and opponents batted just .269 off him…earned the win with 4.1 innings allowing just one run and striking out eight in a win over FDU-Florham.

2010 Season:  Appeared in 11 games, making nine starts…finished 4-3 with a 5.10 ERA in 47.2 innings pitched…struck out 43 and walked 21…opponents batted just .232 off him…earned his first win of the season with six innings of work allowing three runs and striking out seven in a win over Schreiner University…recorded the team’s only complete-game shutout with seven shutout innings allowing just four hits and fanning seven in a win over Misericordia University…named Freedom Conference Pitcher of the Week once.

2009 Season:  Appeared in 21 games, making one start…ranked third on the team with a 4.36 ERA and had a 2-0 record…finished with 33 innings pitched with 36 strikeouts and opponents batted just .221 off him…earned first career win with 0.2 innings of relief in win over Wabash College…also earned win with one inning of scoreless relief in win over Montclair State University.

Personal & High School:  Son of Myra and Patrick Hughes…participated in baseball in high school…named Second-Team All-Catholic as a senior…sports and exercise science major with a minor in sport management and pyschology.
