JJ Paul was hired as the Graduate Assistant Baseball Coach at DeSales University in July, 2023. Prior to his hiring at DeSales he spent five years playing baseball at DeSales and assistant coaching for different Travel baseball teams.
Paul is the Pitching Coordinator under Tim Neiman, where he schedules the daily ins and outs of practices, works with all of the video and technical equipment, and helps out with all of the scheduling throughout the school year.
Paul grew up in Quakertown, PA, where he learned the game of baseball by coming to DeSales winter camps, and prospect camps from a young age. Paul graduated from DeSales University in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in Film / Photography. He is currently pursuing his masters degree in Data Analytics where he hopes to land a job in baseball after graduation.
Paul resides in Quakertown, PA, with his Dad, John, and their dog, Apollo. He spends most of his time giving lessons to young players, or helping out at an organization in Allentown. When not in the baseball realm he likes to travel to different places and take hikes around the natural beaten paths of PA.
Paul finished his career at DeSales with an 8-3 record making 52 career appearances, 43 out of the bullpen. He had a career ERA of 4.85 with seven saves and 63 career strikeouts.
