Rentzheimer joins Coach Neiman’s in the fall of 2018 as an assistant coach on the staff and with extensive experience as both a head coach and assistant coach.
 
Most recently he served the as an assistant softball coach at the University of Scranton in 2018 just after spending two years as an assistant softball coach at Parkland High School from 2012-14.
 
Prior to becoming involved in softball, Rentzheimer served as the head baseball coach at Pleasant Valley High School from 2003-11, posting a 154-49 record and winning four Mountain Valley Conference Championships.  He was named the Pocono Record Coach of the Year in 2003 and led PV to the District XI final in 2003.  Prior to becoming the head coach at Pleasant Valley he was an assistant coach from 1989-02.
 
Rentzheimer also served as the head coach of the Lehigh Valley Prospects from 1996-01 and was with the organization from 1991-01.  He saw eight players drafted into the Majors and 50+ play collegiate baseball.  Rentzheimer is a member of the Northampton County Legion and Blue Mountain League Baseball Hall of Fame.
 
He is a 1986 graduate of West Chester University earning a BS in health and physical education and earned his Masters in Education from Wilkes University in 1991.  He played baseball with WCU from 1983-85, helping the Golden Rams win two PSAC Championships and play in two NCAA Tournaments.
 
He currently works full-time as a health and physical education teacher in Pleasant Valley school district since 1988.
