Biography

Entering the ’12 Season:  Pinto enters his senior year ranked tied for 11th in appearances (45), tied for 10th in relief appearances (38), and tied for ninth in shutouts (1).

2011 Season:  Made 12 appearances and six starts on the mound…posted a 2-1 record with a 4.67 ERA including one complete-game shutout…totaled 34.2 innings pitched, walking just four and striking out 22…opponent’s batted .289 off him…tossed a seven-inning complete-game shutout in a win over Eastern University…named Freedom Conference Pitcher of the Week once.

2010 Season:  Appeared in 13 games in relief on the mound…posted a 4.91 ERA in 18.1 innings pitched with 13 strikeouts and opponent’s batting just .203 off him…did not allow an earned run over first seven appearances and first eight innings pitched.

2009 Season:  Missed season with elbow injury.

2008 Season:  Appeared in 20 games, making one start on the mound…posted a team-low 3.55 ERA with a 3-2 record…totaled 33 innings pitched, striking out 15…earned first collegiate win allowing one run in 2.1 innings pitched in win over Eastern Mennonite…also earned with 2.2 innings of relief allowing just one run in win over Delaware Valley College and 2.2 innings allowing one unearned run in win over Arcadia University.

Personal & High School:  Son of Joy and Charlie Pinto…participated in baseball and basketball in high school...twice named to Second-Team All-Colonial League and All-Area...high school team won District title in 2006...political science – national security major with a minor in criminal justice.
