Shannon Nelligan joins Coach Hansrote staff for her first season as an assistant coach field hockey coach.  Nelligan is a 2014 graduate of Elmira College where she earned a bachelor of science in childhood education.
 
Nelligan was a four-year starter on the Elmira College field hockey team and served as a co-captain as both a junior and senior with the Soaring Eagles. She earned Empire 8 All-Conference 2nd-Team recognition in 2011 as well as Honorable Mention in both 2012 and 2013.
 
Nelligan hails from Poughquag, NY and attended Canterbury School where she received Most Outstanding Athlete honors as a senior in both field hockey and softball, as well as Most Outstanding Leadership.  She earned All-League honors and acted as a co-captain during her senior year in both sports.
 
Nelligan also serves DeSales University as a Residence Hall Director and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Special Education.
