Brian Hunter joins the Bulldogs staff for his first season.  Hunter graduated from DeSales in 2011 as a business management major and as a three-year starter for Coach Coval after transferring to DSU following one season at Division I Lehigh University.

During his time with the Bulldogs, DSU won two Freedom Conference championships and appeared in the conference title game all three of his years with the team.  As a sophomore, Hunter helped guide DeSales to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament and as a junior the Bulldogs advanced into the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.  In three seasons, DSU was 69-21 (.767) overall.

Hunter finished his career with 1,118 career points which is currently ranked 17th all-time.  He is also among the all-time leaders in field goals made (373 – 22nd), three-point field goal attempts (377 – 8th), three-pointers made (136 – 8th), three-point shooting percentage (.361 – 12th), free throws made (236 – 13th), assists (411 – 3rd), and steals (141 – 11th) entering the 2013-14 season.

He was named to the All-Freedom Conference First-Team as a senior and the All-Freedom Conference Second-Team as a junior.  Hunter was honored as the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Association (LVSCBA) Player of the Year in 2011 and was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region Third-Team as a senior.

Prior to college, Hunter was a standout player at Emmaus High School where he was named both the Morning Call and Easton Express-Times Player/Athlete of the Year leading Emmaus to the Lehigh Valley Conference Championship.  He earned All-LVC and All-Area honors twice in high school.

Hunter currently resides in Allentown, PA and works full-time with Capital One Bank.
