Mara Thorne

    Pole Vault Coach
Mara (Blanchard) Thorne joined the men's and women's track & field staff during the 2017-18 season as the pole vault coach. She is a 2017 graduate of Lafayette College having earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Economics. 
While at Lafayette, Thorne competed in the sprints and vault, and currently ranks in the top 10 in pole vault, the 60m dash, and 4x100m relay. She served as a two-year captain and was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll four times. Before Lafayette, Thorne competed at Bethlehem Catholic High School. 
Thorne works full-time in engineering at Air Products.
