Ryan Mahalsky

Ryan Mahalsky was named the graduate assistant coach for the men's cross country and track & field teams in the summer of 2020.  He is a 2015 graduate of Lehigh University graduating with a bachelor of arts in political science with a minor in earth and environmental science.

While at Lehigh, he finished as All-Patriot League First-Team performer 3x in cross country and was named the Men's T&F Most Outstanding Athlete of the Meet at the 2015 Patriot League Championships winning the 5K and 10K.  Mahalsky finished his career with school records in the 5K, both indoor and outdoor, and the highest CC National Championship in team history (46th of 252 in 2014).  He earned All-American honors at the 2015 NCAA Division I Outdoor T&F Championships placing 17th in the 10K and was a 2x Patriot League champion and honor roll recipient in T&F.

Following his time at Lehigh he ran professionally for the Hansons Brooks Original Distance Project in Rochester Hills, MI from 2017-20 qualfying for two US CC teams and placing third at the US Club CC Championships in 2017 and 2018.  Mahalsky finished in seventh place at the 2018 USAT&F Outdoor Championships.

Mahalsky also coached at American University as the Assistant CC and T&F coach for two years (2015-17) under two-time Olympian, Matt Centrowitz.  While at American he helped the 2017 men's 4x800 meter relay team win the Patriot League Championship.

Mahalsky will be pursuing his MBA at DeSales.
