Jackie Stewart

Stewart rejoins Coach Richter’s staff for her second season as a graduate assistant coach.  Stewart is a 2017 graduate of Grove City College earning a bachelor of arts in sociology with a minor in psychology.
 
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Stewart was a four-year member of the Grove City women’s basketball team serving as team captain as both a junior and senior.  She broke the school-record playing in 107 career games without ever missing one game in her career.
 
Stewart finished her career with the second highest single-season free throw percentage (86.3%), ranked 10th in career minutes played (2,582), seventh in career free throw percentage (77.7%), and with 627 career points.
 
She was selected in 2017 for the “So You Want To Be A Coach” program by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) held at the Final Four convention in Dallas, TX.  The “So” program is designed to increase the understanding and application of skills necessary to secure coaching positions in women’s basketball, increase the understanding and awareness of competencies necessary for success in coaching, introduce female basketball players to coaches and administrators, and raise awareness of the existing talent pool of female basketball players who have a passion and interest in coaching the game of women’s basketball.
 
While at GCC Stewart also served on the SAAC during her junior and senior year and worked as a student assistant for the Sports Information office for three years.
 
She will be pursuing her Masters of Education in Instructional Technology (K-12).
