Slater begins her first year as a graduate assistant coach for the men's and women's tennis programs at DeSales, under head coach, David Kurvink. She is a 2016 graduate of Caldwell University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
While at Caldwell, Slater was a four-year starter at the top of the lineup and a two-time captain. Throughout her career, she has played in numerous tournaments and on several USTA junior teams. Slater played first singles at Old Bridge high school where she was Star Ledger Second-Team, All-Middlesex County, and a two-time All-Division honoree in the Greater Middlesex Conference, while also qualifying for the state tournament her senior year.
In her collegiate career, Slater received numerous all-academic honors from the CACC Conference and was named to the ITA All-Academic Team. She played first doubles all four years, and played singles in the first, second, and third positions. At Caldwell, Slater developed leadership skills as a captain, a student athlete mentor, and as a SAAC representative. Slater has experience instructing in community tennis programs at all levels and is in the process of becoming USPTR certified.
Slater is pursuing an M.B.A. at DeSales, with a concentration in Accounting. At Caldwell she received the departmental award in Accounting, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 3.96 GPA.
