Kyle McHugh

Kyle McHugh

Kyle McHugh joined the men’s and women’s track & field coaching staff during the 2017 indoor season as the sprints coach, returning to his alma mater after graduating in 2004 with a degree in history.  He spent three years as a volunteer coach with the Bulldogs following graduation.

Following his volunteer stint with DSU he moved on to Nazareth Area High School coaching there for six years. During that time, he helped coach the women’s team to a league regular season title in 2008 and the men’s team in 2011 while also winning the league championship in both 2011 and 2012 for the men.  Under his guidance, his athletes broke 10 school records (three women’s and seven men’s) while having 25 athletes go on to the state meets in either indoor or outdoor.

Kyle moved on to Lehigh University where he again helped with sprints, hurdles, relays, and assisted with multi event hurdlers.  His primary focus was hurdles; he had athletes break three school records for hurdles and seven more on the track. Several athletes garnered All Patriot league honors and moved on to ECAC/ IC4A meets.

McHugh works full time at RHD as a residential support staff where he has been for more than six years.
