DeSales University Athletics

BJ Spigelmyer was hired as the sports information director at DeSales University in July, 2000 and has served in that role ever since.  Prior to his hiring at DeSales he spent one year as a full-time sports information intern at Johns Hopkins University during the 1999-00 academic year.

Spigelmyer is the direct contact for all 19 varsity sports at DeSales and provides development and management of the website for all 19 varsity sports, including writing, editing, statistical compilation and execution, publicity, public & media relations and budget management. He handles archiving of historical information and records; nominates student-athletes, coaches and staff members for honors and awards; and manages and organizes the athletics communications staff as well as a large contingent of undergraduate work study each year.
 
A native of Maple Glen, PA, Spigelmyer graduated from DeSales University in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in sports management.

He resides in Coopersburg, PA with his wife, Azure, and their two very active children, Parker and Beckett.  He is very involved within the local community serving as the treasurer for the Southern Lehigh Youth Baseball organization as well as the President of the Southern Lehigh Youth Basketball association.
