Arkans joined DeSales as the head men's and women's tennis coach in the Fall of 2026.
He joins the Bulldogs having served as the head coach of the boys and girls tennis teams at nearby Bethlehem Catholic High School since 2023. Prior to coaching at Bethlehem Catholic, Arkans served as the assistant coach at Quakertown Community HS from 2021-23. He has also spent time as an assistant tennis pro at WInning Touch in Allentown, PA for two years, as a tennis pro at Tennis Zone for five months, and as a Teaching Pro at PlayTennisLV since June, 2026.
Arkans graduated from Arcadia University in 1994 with Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in political science. He played tennis for Arcadia, serving as the team captain for two years, while playing No. 1 singles for the Knights. He won Senior Athlete of the Year in 1994.
Prior to teaching and coaching tennis, Arkans spent several years working at various newspapers as a sports journalist.
