Men's Tennis falls to Arcadia, 6-3

Sophomore Charles Marriner earned his first career singles win in the loss to Arcadia on Saturday.

Glenside, PA (March 29, 2008) - The DeSales University men's tennis team lost a hard fought Freedom Conference match, falling 6-3 to Arcadia University on a windy Saturday afternoon.
 
        The loss is the fourth straight for the Bulldogs who fall to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the Freedom. Freshman Anthony Guerriero (Warren, NJ/Watchung Hills) and sophomore Charles Marriner (Cape May Court House, NJ/Middle Township) each played well and were the lone point winners for DeSales on the afternoon. The two teamed up at the 3rd doubles position for an 8-6 win and followed that up with wins in singles action as well. Guerriero won 6-2, 6-4 over Mike Catalano at the 5th singles position, while Marriner defeated James Lui 6-2, 6-2 at the 6th singles spot.

          The Bulldogs return to action on Monday, March 29th when they travel to Philadelphia Biblical University for a non-conference match beginning at 3:30 pm.
