Men’s Tennis falls to PSU-Berks, 6-3

Freshman Joe Sulpizio earned his team-leading fourth win of the season on Wednesday.

Center Valley, PA (April 23, 2008) - The DeSales University men's tennis team dropped a tough match to PSU-Berks, 6-3, on another picture perfect day on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.

The loss drops the Bulldogs to 2-10 overall on the season, while the Nittany Lions improve to 12-4 overall. Earning points for the Bulldogs were freshman Joe Sulpizio (Bath, PA/Notre Dame) with a 7-5, 6-2 win at the No. 3 spot, sophomore Seth Conklin (Valencia, PA/Aquinas Academy) at the No. 5 spot, 6-1, 6-1 and sophomore Charles Marriner (Cape May Court House, NJ/Middle Township) at the No. 6 spot, 7-5, 6-3.

DSU returns to action on Thursday when they host Elizabethtown College in another non-conference match, its final team match of the season, beginning at 4:00 pm.
