Bulldogs Drop Season Finale, 9-0, to Elizabethtown

Sophomore Charles Marriner fell, 6-4, 6-4, at the No. 6 singles position on Thursday.

Center Valley, PA (April 24, 2008) - The DeSales University men's tennis team could not end its regular season on a high note, falling to Elizabethtown College, 9-0, despite perfect weather conditions. With the loss the Bulldogs finish the team season with a 2-11 overall record.
 
        The Bulldogs were unable to take a set in singles after falling in all three doubles matches. Sophomore Seth Conklin (Valencia, PA/Aquinas Academy) again played well for DeSales at the 5th singles position, although he lost 6-3, 6-2 to Shawn Cotton. Sophomore Charles Marriner (Cape May Court House, NJ/Middle Township) also had a strong showing at the 6th singles position losing 6-4, 6-4 to Mike Steiner.

         The DeSales men will travel to Wilkes-Barre, PA on Saturday, April 26th for the MASCAC Individual Tournament to end their season.
