Center Valley, PA (April 5, 2008) - The DeSales University men's tennis team was unable to match King's College, falling 9-0 Saturday afternoon in a Freedom Conference match.
The Bulldogs (1-6, 0-4 Freedom) were once again unable to take any of the three doubles points despite playing well, taking at least four games in each of the eight game pro-sets.
The singles matches followed the same pattern as doubles, with DeSales being unable to take a single set. Junior Jake Hoover (Morrisville, PA/Notre Dame) and senior Jon Kindred (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame) each hit with the Monarchs and were able to take 6 games in each of their matches. However, Hoover eventually fell at the 1st singles spot 6-4, 6-2 to Nick Hojsack, while Kindred lost 7-6(1), 6-0 to Jon Hand at the 2nd singles spot.
The Bulldogs next play Thursday, April 10th at 4:00 pm when they travel to Neumann College for a non-conference match.
