Women’s Soccer Falls at Lebanon Valley, 3-0

Annville, PA (September 23, 2008) – The DeSales University women's soccer team dropped a non-conference decision on Tuesday afternoon falling to Lebanon Valley College, 3-0.

The Bulldogs fall to 3-4-1 overall in the loss, while the Flying Dutchmen improve to 4-3-1 overall with the win. LVC held a 13-11 edge in shots, while DeSales had a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.

LVC took a 1-0 lead at the 11:20 mark of the first half when Lauren King scored her first of two goals on the day. King added her second at the 52:32 mark and Megan Sager scored unassisted at the 67:11 mark to round out the scoring.

Junior Katie Halpin (Easton, PA/Notre Dame) made four saves in the first half and freshman Melissa Millili (Deptford, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) returned from injury to make two saves in the second half.

The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday when they host FDU-Florham at 1:00 pm as Freedom Conference play begins for both teams.
