Women’s Tennis Drops Final Conference Game of Season, 9-0, at Wilkes

Junior Kate Steiner saw her undefeated Freedom Conference record come to an end at Wilkes on Saturday.

Wilkes-Barre, PA (October 10, 2009) – The DeSales University women's tennis team fell in its final Freedom Conference game of the season, 9-0, at Wilkes University on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs were playing shorthanded as injuries forced DSU to travel with just four players. Junior #Kate Steiner# (Walnutport, PA/Northampton) saw her four-match winning streak and undefeated Freedom Conference singles record fall as she lost 6-3, 7-5 in a hard fought match at the No. 1 position.

DSU returns to action on Tuesday, October 20^th when they travel to Alvernia University for the final team match of the fall season beginning at 4:00 pm.
