Men’s Tennis Falls at Elizabethtown, 9-0

Sophomore Joe Sulpizio fell at the No. 4 singles spot on Wednesday at Elizabethtown.

Elizabethtown, PA (March 18, 2009) - The DeSales University men's tennis team was on the losing end of a match for the first time this season falling at Elizabethtown College, 9-0, in a non-conference match on Wednesday afternoon.

The Bulldogs fall to 2-1 overall on the season, while the Blue Jays improve to 2-0 overall. After taking just three total games in the three doubles matches, DSU did much better in the singles matches, but were unable to earn a point. Freshman Timothy Golden (Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview) came the closest to victory, falling 7-5, 6-1 at the No. 6 singles position.

DeSales returns to action one week from today when they host Misericordia University in the first Freedom Conference match of the season beginning at 3:00 pm.
