DSU opens Spring Season with 9-0 Loss to Elizabethtown

Center Valley, PA (March 21, 2009) – The DeSales University women's tennis team opened its spring season schedule with a 9-0 loss to Elizabethtown College in a non-conference match on Saturday afternoon.

The loss drops the Bulldogs to 8-5 overall as they will play a few matches this spring to prepare for the Freedom Conference playoffs in late April. Senior newcomer Tracey Gould (Showhegan, ME/Showhegan) played well in her first collegiate match at the No. 3 singles position falling 6-7 (7-3), 7-6 (7-2), 1-0 (11-9) to Sarah Poulle.

The Bulldogs will continue its spring schedule on Saturday, April 4^th when they take on PSU-Abington in another non-conference match beginning at 10:00 am.
