Men’s Tennis Snaps Losing Skid with 8-1 Win over Albright

Sophomore Michael Cejovic was a double winner at the No. 1 singles and doubles positions on Thursday.

Center Valley, PA (April 23, 2009) - The DeSales University men's tennis team got back into the win column on Thursday afternoon, defeating Albright College, 8-1, in a non-conference match on a windy afternoon.

DSU took all three doubles matches as freshman Tom Allen (York, PA/York Catholic) and sophomore Michael Cejovic (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains) earned an 8-0 win at the No. 1 doubles spot and sophomore Joe Sulpizio (Bath, PA/Notre Dame) and junior Dan Bullen (Matawan, NJ/St. John Vianney) won 8-2 at the No. 2 doubles position.

In singles play, Cejovic won 6-4, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot, Allen won easily (6-0, 6-0) at the No. 2 spot, Bullen earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at the No. 3 spot and junior Seth Conklin (Valencia, PA/Aquinas Academy) was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at the No. 4 spot.

DeSales returns to action on Tuesday, April 28^th when they host Gwynedd-Mercy College in a non-conference match beginning at 4:00 pm.
